Thanks for all the kind words.
Just got off the phone with mom, and after another test yesterday, she's having another cath done tomorrow and probably another stent put in.
    60% blockage in this one.

Mom's pretty tough. I'm telling myself she'll be fine.
Here's the kicker on the hernia......I felt it pop when I was.....wait for it,.........coughing.
No heavy lifting (used to lift weights pretty hard when I was younger) involved.
    Coughing.
    Who'd a thunk it.
The hernia is just uncomfortable, no real pain.
    Anyway, I'll be getting out to the cutting floor ASAP. N E E D F I R E W O O D.:hair:

I never knew exactly what caused my dbl hernias. The first time that I noticed it I was driving down the Autobahn on vacation and felt a bit of pinching going on down there. Nothing popped out. I guess I had smaller tears. I went to the Dr. when I got back from vacation and was told to cough and the immediate response was to go find a surgeon.

Just can't keep a gooder man down... ;) Those "pops" are special aren't they? Right outa nowhere. My ab issues are always made worse when I sneeze. When I fell in Jan, on the ice, I just prayed I wouldn't sneeze. Woulda been real bad. Didn't happen. Was gooder... (see, I'm learnin') ... :D Good luck, and no coughing... :hair:

Should you need some help Dave, perhaps we could arrange it and I could come up for a visit if need be. I haven't been in your area for a few years now. In the meantime, take care of yourself and your mother.

Dennis, that's more than generous, but not needed. You have your own stuff to deal with.
Got back home a couple hours ago and I'm still a little groggy, but doing fine.
The repair too 5 hours instead of 1......doc said it was worse than he thought.:bug:
So much for getting home before noon.
SIL went with us and took the kids to Wally's for some groceries and they had lunch.
Might take a bit more than the original 3 day recuperation estimate though.:D:popcorn: I'll be taking walks to the stacks tomorrow.  Seriously.
    Bev took tomorrow off.
Talked to mom when we got home and she sounded gooder and they told her she can come home in 3 days. I'll let my brother go get her.:dancer:

Take it easy Dave. You will be better than new real soon. That mesh that the surgeon put in is stronger than the original, your body just needs to heal around it and where the instruments went through. Like I said before, for me the worst part was caused by the instruments coming in from my belly button and traveling down to my groin, not the actual repairs.
