    Sorry about your friends.
I'd just rather die standing than live on my knees. Just me, and I truly am saddened about your friends. Enjoy the holiday. :)

I’m very grateful for all of the awesome folks here on FHC where everyone is polite and respectful.

Building some racks is the best thing to do to deal with stress and enjoy yourself when you can find the time. Enjoy.

I dont see it as being on your knees at all, we do a lot of things for saftey to yourself and others all the time.
I fear this is going to get really bad before it is taken seriously by many. Friends and family are very important to me and i will not put them at risk.

Good to get out and do something. It is almost too easy to sit and pass the day away. I did a little cutting out back today.

She was cooking. Only the two of here due to the restrictions but I don’t think she will ever be able to cook small. I got plenty of leftovers for a while now!

Since it’s a “one butt kitchen” around here, I slipped outside and made my kindling rack in the corner of the wood shed I’ve been meaning to do. Then went out to the pile cutting and splitting till rain run me back in shop.

That looks nice. Do you other pics or a thread on your racks? Curious about them. And what is your top cover? Do you staple the top cover or screw it to wood?

I cover with used rubber roofing and I screw it on. This is my "new" system and the wood goes straight off the splitter to the rack for a year or more, then I can carry a whole rack up to the house. This really ties up the rack and this design has minimal cost with basically about a half dozen boards.
I did a posting of my journey to this design, maybe 2 years ago cleverly called something like woodracks:D. Post back if you can't find it.

I gave you the wrong title. A good little 2 page discussion of the topic and different folks solutions.

Ok, I really like these racks. I may have to build a couple.

I found out a couple of winters ago that with the right conditions (rain on snow) these will freeze to the ground. I broke 2 of them trying to pop them loose. Now I'll buy those cheap rounded "landscape timbers" and cut them @32" getting 3 out of an 8 footer and place them under the racks feet and just gather them up when thawed. They separate just fine.
