You’re lucky I didn’t aim that flashlight towards the creek at walt ’s.... JK....I would not have never done that....
Bridges can be crazy expensive. If I lose mine then I can' even get my car and truck out...and maybe not even one of my tractors. Mine is an estimated 60+ years old. It's two old steel boilers with the ends cut off and butted together, about 42 inch dia.. If something happens or I just want to replace it then I have to get a permit from the State DEC...for disturbing a fishery. By law I am not even allowed to put rocks/rip rap to the inlet or outlet...hmmm, yeah okay. My plan in the next couple of years is to form up for a steel reinforced concrete slab that covers the current gravel and stone over lay, also means I need to raise the approach to that structural slab. I haven't worked out the specs yet and I would have an engineer check them out, but I am guessing that I am looking at around a 16 inch deep 'slab', at least I have a lot of #4 and 5 rebar on hand...need to be able to get a combine over it...ugh.
This is hopefully the last one I will have to install (installed 14 years ago)... 7'-0" high X 25'-0" wide (lots of bolts), here it is after we built it, before we installed it.
That is Impressive. No way I could afford that. That is Amazing. Makes mine look like an old soup can.
Haha...I couldn't afford it either!! Just had to get to the house over the cute little creek my wife fell in love with! FML
