Thursday was a beautiful day to do a tree job. We went back to the same place as post 125 above. He had 2 big pines and a small dead pine he wanted down, his house is coming last week of March. The first 2 victims, big tree was in decline as well... Dropped it between pines, top was in the bushes, we bucked into sections, then pulled top to brush pile and finished limbing It was a dandy, 32" bar on Stihl MS461... Luke came around lunchtime with the flatbed trailer. Got that 1 tree on there, 5 12' logs and 2 8's...76' of saw timber On to the bigger pine... Slight lean and some crooks, on the ground safely...bigger than 32"bar. We cut this one in 9 8' logs...72' of saw timber. As some jobs go, it got extended. Neighbor was going to cut 3 smaller trees for his mill...he came over, said he had broke some ribs a week ago and couldn't deal with them in the time frame needed...so we added them to the job... Used the Stihl XS400 and Echo XS4910 on these... Friday morning, Luke came back. Got 7 logs from the big tree on the trailer... When he got back, we had 18 logs left and needed to bring tractor home. We put a Goat Town Farwood kinda load on the trailer then... 2 16', 7 12' and 6 8's... Ran out of room and he was worried about the weight......so the butt with hollow end, a small 8' and a 12' with big ugly cat face went to brush pile. Carrying limbs with the MTL grapple And I had to clown around a bit...
Thanks. Me too, as Miz Carol wasn't feeling the best, she came along as moral support (supervisor) I think.
