Have to admit I was a bit worried when I saw the design for your door header on paper...But should have known fuelrod Overkill wouldn't let me down, looks good to me !! You have some talent brother, I almost never see let-in wood look that tight! And you built and set that by yourself, Incredible!
Uh oh, new shiny distraction. Still waiting for lumber or looking for good saw logs for the building.
I did get the "caps" for the posts bent up today. These will get fastened to the tops of the posts and the bar joists will sit on them and get welded together. Very swampashish today with more humidity and lower 90's Thursday-Friday. There will be very little to report on in the short term future. (Unless you want a bunch more puppy pictures )
Today I got the bar joists moved up to the building site from "out back". I was waiting for a buddy with his tractor trailer (they are 37'4") but decided to just do it. I put 6 ratchet straps on the bundle and put them on the truck, it was a little funny feeling with all the weight on one side and so high but it was only about a 1/4 mile and I creeped up in low range. I arranged these blocks for support before I get around to using them. The building is behind me where I took the picture. Then my logging guy called me to say that my lumber was cut and ready. I opted for 2 trips. They were logs this morning so - very heavy. So now I'm running out of excuses to start back at it, we'll there's still the weather .
Had company here since the last post. I sure am tired of listening to........ basically BS! Besides a dentist appointment tomorrow there's nothing in my way. I hope to make some progress this week and get back into "the groove", I think we're mostly past the annoyingly hot weather.
