Oak rules in my opinion. Great stacks and welcome to the forum!

My one neighbor just thinks that I am slightly insane or that I can foresee some kind of apocalypse - haha. He is a propane kinda guy, not much of an outdoorsman. He also thinks that I am crazy cuz I walk my dog at least two hours a day regardless of the weather. His poor pup never gets to leave the yard :(

I don't think your stack is lacking anything at all. I wish I had the space to make a single straight run like that. 67' along the back of my lot would leave me with 6.5 feet on each side. And with 16" splits I'd need near 2 more so it wouldn't be a single run anyway.

I hear you on finding the time with the wee ones. Gotta hustle when you can, and I often settle for close enough on many projects until the kids get older.

Now, about those hops... :pete: Please consider a thread on that with some progress pics.

Close enough is better than never! I am most definitely not wishing away my kids time as little ones, but it will be nice to be able to not have to hustle through everything at some point :)

I can definitely do the hops farm thread - it will be a long term one though, as my farming skills are at the novice level and I am looking at slowly building the farm up. I am sure there will be some fabulous goof ups as I go!!!!

Long term goal is a possible career change but I don't want to break the bank in the process.

Hello and welcome board SISU! You are gonna be right at home here.

Its not the precise stack that makes it beautiful its the thought of the heat that makes it beautiful.

You guys are all so kind, thanks so much for the compliments and comments. It's nice to have some other motivated wood cutters to chat with. Here's a quick shot of some of my back lot (the red box thing is my kindling box) - image.jpg

Beautiful. I love pics almost as much as the real thing. (I don't have to do the work involved with the wood in the pics :axe::))
