This isn't the final on these but I accidently deleted the final vid. The 590/600 echo are super good running Ported 60cc saw
But then again I'm Stihl older school as well and this is Still on of the easiest to work on. Light for a 60cc saw. Tough as nails and run hard.
The 500p,656, 5105. The 656 has been tweaked a little since then but just timing and it's still only had a few tanks of gas.
Ha! Heck no. Probably end up with a bow saw and wear one of those hard hats that holds six beers but fill it with red bulls instead.
It cuts better than the video gives it credit for. It now where's 20" bar and cuts just as well as with the 18" bar Carl sent with it.
I decided I'm gonna port my ms 241 first and still try to retune my modded 290 for larger wood. My dog may need surgery and the vet charges by the pound and my dog is a 193 lb mastiff. If he ends up not needing surgery it's game on for a 562
That bar in the vid was just a 325x18 as well as I wanted the same chain comparison and didn't have a 3/8 bar for the echo. Lol.
LOL. The 562 is a very nice saw. I think I have a crappie soft wood vid for that saw. Let me look. Lol.
Here's my two cents... I own an MS261CM ported by Randy Evans (a.k.a.Mastermind, El Moobs) and a stock MS361. On paper, these should perform very similarly and I should get rid of the MS361. However, in reality I keep them both for now. If I ever had to sell one, I'd probably get rid of the 50 cc saw first. Why? I don't know, but I just love the 60 cc saw. That's my opinion. You are welcome to yours.
I can totally understand. For my cutting and what I like a 60cc fits best. Nothing wrong with a great 50cc saw had a Jonsered 2051 serve me very well for many years.
Well, Good luck on the your big Baby at 193 lbs... My buddy has one of those, he's pretty close to 200 lbs too... On the other subject of 562... Great Little saw, it has a good power to weight ratio. The only issue I had and one of the reasons that I got rid of it was, due to the clutch system that it had. I could not get use to the outboard clutch when switching out chains. Just something to think about.
This is one of the all time biggest arguments. Lol. Inboard vs outboard clutch. I'm with you and especially a saw I'm using for felling I don't like outboard clutches but it all boils down to preference. Most guys have choose the 562xp because it was light. But now the Stihl has released the 362cm version 2 that's not the case. So OP good luck. Lots and lots of good choices. Best advice. Pick them up and see what feels right in your hands.
