Has anyone used one of these splitter. I’ve got a friend who does just a little splitting but was looking into one of these. I’ve never used one. Anyone?
Works okay for small rounds and/or easy splitting wood. On the slow side, but gets the job done. I use mine for resizing smoker wood. Pretty quiet vs a gas hydro and can be used indoors. I have one, and so does my sister. It works pretty well, as long as you keep your expectations, and log size reasonable. Just make sure the wedge is kinda narrow/sharp...the wider ones are kinda "blunt" and are easily stopped
I have no experience with the China made splitters. My two DR electric splitters were American made and they work good. But when they break down parts are non obtainium so I am on my own there,,,
