Here's a few shots of the 572XP I have here with a full wrap kit I ordered in for a guy.

This kit comes with big dogs, clutch cover, roller chain catch, wrap handle, and hardware.

The only downside I see is that using the big dogs causes you to lose the captive bar nuts.

Dan, that is probably going to be my next saw. I don't have a need for the wrap handle but does look nice. Those are some healthy Dawgs, but I can't see giving up the captive bar nuts for them. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

This was a special order deal for a logger in WV. He insisted that he'd only take the saw if I could get him a wrap and big dogs.

User preference, I guess. If you are felling trees all day and running long bars, those beefy dogs would be really beneficial.

If you are bucking firewood, they'd probably be in the way a lot of the time. I have saws with both and I've learned that I enjoy a medium dog the most.

The full wrap and dogs are nice for any real felling IMHO. When you get into trees with thick deeply groves bark and root flares, and hilly terrain, it makes a world of different. WV is hill country.

Nice! I've thought about switching to a wrap on my 661 but I've never used a full wrap so I don't know if it's worth the $ for me.

I wrapped my 562XP and I really enjoy it. It doesn't really add and noticeable weight.

Try eBay and grab a used one to see if you like it. Very handy for felling trees.

And, like Andyshine77 said, those big dogs really help bite in and get grip on raggly and thick bark.

I'm running into wishing I had the full wrap - the big dogs don't mattet ro be - can you skip the big dogs and keep the old clutch cover with the captive bar-nuts?

Saffords is where I got my 572 saw with the full wrap. Looks like theyre still on sale under 1000$but only have non full wrap left. I too was bummed about losing the captive nuts, so I ordered the WCS 3 point dogs which allowed me to put back on the captive nut cover.
