I like my 346 and 60cc saw just fine, but I'm hangin on to my bigger saws for now.

I have a 261c-m and a 562XP both unported. The 562XP is my go to saw. I fine the 261c-m underwhelming. I have been tempted to unload it and the MS250 and get a 241c-m or Husqvarna 545 for a 2 saw plan.

That's not a half-bad plan. The 241 is great runner out of the box. Probably the most impressive of Stihl's new line-up. (I haven't gotten my mitts on a 661 yet. :))

I too was underwhelmed by my ported MS261... So I traded it towards a ported 562xp. I also have a 2252 that just showed up today to replace the 261. That should keep me happy for a few weeks until I decide I want something different. :D

Anyone run a ported jred 2260 here? This looks to be a great alternative to a ported 562xp for a little less $$$...and for other reasons also. Different paint scheme, lighter maybe, idk this for fact..., handle configuration...although I think I would like an angled setup better...

Not as much out there on these brands(jred/dolmar/etc) as compared to husky/stihl. For what i know the jred/huskies are same internals but I'm not up to date on this...but that being said tlandrum at wicked work saws website lists a ported jred 2260 at $865 compared to $920 for the 562xp fwiw. Better paint job IMO but small mount...read its a little lighter..?? This true?

It'll be a touch lighter. Small mount bars don't weigh as much either. Its truly a 560xp which is N/A in the USA.

Let's just say one had a top-end and the crank stuffers off of a 562XP, and a 555 to install it all on. Would that create an all orange 560XP?
