Congrats on the saw and welcome aboard. Menards has some pretty reasonable chaps but the Husqvarna ones mentioned are really nice too, I have a set.
bogydave I think I will need 5 to 7 cords per winter. it is a small well insulated house with a fairly efficient furnace.
5 to 7 cord is alot of wood to cut and stack by yourelf....put your stove in your sig lune so we can see wat yur workun with..the most important thing to remember is DRY fuel is very important to the correct function of your stove...have fun and this is the best site on the net..
Welcome aboard and great saw choice. Others as usual have advised you well. I think you may be thinking face cords on your calculation.....although theres nothing wrong with having 5-7 full cords ready to go next season
HittinSteel After burning for the past month and a half I'm pretty sure Ur right. It looks like I was quite over estimating my wood usage per year. I think I will use right around 3 cords maybe 3.5-4 if its a winter like last years.
