MasterMech will probably provide the part number shortly. If not, I will in a bit.

That little chain is fierce! !

Ive seen 2 different stihl bars in 3/8 .050 picco and one being 55dl and one 60dl. Is stihl the only one that makes bars?

The 16" is still a 60 DL like the regular 3/8" but the drivers are not as deep in the picco.

As for the bar? I thought Baileys had one? Narrow kerf? May have been a .043 gauge? I may be wring. Have to look at the catalog. I didn't shop to long before I was talked into the Stihl set up. It's gonna cost about $90 to swap over to Picco (rim, bar, and chain).

Because there isn't one. ;) I've never seen a 60 link loop in a retail box. (Does not mean it doesn't exist but....)

Dex was nice enough to snap a pic with the part #'s for ya, but start reading here for the orginal run of info. Explains why Picco chain doesn't fit properly on standard 3/8 cutting gear and provides part #'s for everything Picco as it pertains to the 3003 mount 16" bar on the 024/026/MS260/MS261.

The only other bar that I'm aware of that will run Picco and mount to a 50cc+ Stihl is made by Cannon. (This excludes hardnose bars....) Only Cannon makes bars longer than 16" for Picco.

This thread has more info on PS/PS3 chain than I've ever seen gathered into one place. :dex:

I have seen 62 link PS3 in a retail package but otherwise it has to be cut from a reel. Ask your dealer if he stocks a real of this stuff.  (or follow that link.... and :ups:)

100% of the saws that Stihl sells with PS3 on them from the factory run a 3005 mount (Mini-mount) bar which guarantees that the link count will not match up with the 3003 mount bar for the 261. 62 link is common for other brands 18", the MS241 uses a 18" 3005 mount bar but it's 61 links and the 3003 mount 16" bar on the MS260/261 is 60 links. :headbang:So there go your chances of seeing a 60 link PS3/PS chain in a retail box.

I would confirm it with them but I don't see why not. As long as it's their S1 mount.

Let me know what the price would be on that puppy too.

My ported 026 is pretty stout at 195psi. That square chisel may be quick and smooth?

Nobody makes semi skip in Picco/Low-Pro. No speed advantage at all. I have some fast square-filed PS. Yes, the 261 loves it. :saw:

Actually I meant regular 3/8 semi skip square. It should be faster and smoother than 3/8 round. Thinkin about buying a 20" loop and break/spin a 16"?

I very highly doubt it would outrun 3/8 Picco or even .325 square on a 261, even ported. Unless the porting is a bit more involved than just a woods port.
