Back online as of 30 minutes ago. The crew was from Amada, Michigan and the crew leader was from Galveston, Texas and I hope they sock DTE hard. Had no less than 6 trucks out here. They cut the power down the road to mitigate any issues and did the entire road in one shot. If DTE had just cleared the right of way, none of this would have never happened. As it is, I have a huge mess to clean up.
Not very photogenic but I will say that now the cleanup (here) begins. Gassed up and topped off the bar oil and got my 2 big Kubota's out of the barn last night. Hired a hand to help with it. Lots of cutting, piling and a few large burn piles going to happen. Put the buckets on both tractors too. Nice to have them for not just farming.
Glad to hear you got power back. It's a good feeling having that genny ready to go when shtf. I gave my 10kw mep803 it's monthly test run today and checked all the fluids.
7 days here and I went through around 125 gallons of diesel. Utility power is much less expensive but it is what it was. I need to service my unit as well. Oil is pretty dark. I use Rotella T6 in mine, just like my tractors. Of course it was powering the entire farm, house and shop and keeping what heated stock tanks we have left, ice free.
