    Birch is our hardwood (though we have aspen & cottonwood)
    Lots of it, just few roads & bridges, no/little access to it.

    Not building very useful golf muscles processing wood.
    Will take a while to get the golf swing back.

    Building the muscle is not necessarily good for bike riding either unless it is in the legs; especially the thighs. Muscle weighs more than fat so muscle building in arms and chest do nothing for bike riding.
