    Would one of those creosote burning logs be any good for a potential cap clog ?

    I wouldn’t use it. I’d be concerned about the chemicals from the log ending up in the house due to the clogged cap.

    The way they make it sound it's supposed to break the creosote down so there won't be a clog.

    Don't believe BK would recommend running the creo log through the Cat combustor equipped stove.

    I'm in agreement with many other posters. I'd suspect the chimney being partially clogged as the culprit.

    One year my CO detector went off. I knew it wasn't the wood stove as it wasn't running at that time, it ended up being the oil flue was clogged. I am religious about cleaning the wood stove chimney several times a year, but never thought to check the oil chimney.
