My big saw has been giving me fits. The pull cord assembly vibrates the screws out of it in minutes of use; so much that as I am sawing, the entire assembly falls off.

Also noticed a building of oil at the top of the chain cover. That likely is an oiler issue, but in case it isn’t and someone can give advice, I took a photo.

Am about to get this repaired and have it’s a backup and get a big Stihl. Screws working loose has been on problem since this was new. It’s about five years old

Bearings maybe or something loose like the flywheel or clutch missing a weight? Oiler came apart maybe a bent crank? Definitely going to need a good clean up and a look over.

I’m thinking that oil is fuel mix. Muffler loose too?

Could it be leaking from the cylinder base? That might give it the shakes too.

First time a screw comes out, use a dab of blue loctite(on all of them for that piece). It’ll never be a problem again.
Definitely not normal to “shake” excessively. Does it feel normal in the cut?

It seems to but it slows to a stop when getting the saw body close to the log

Check your A/V mounts. I recently purchased a Husqvarna 545 MK 2, and when I got it home, it just didn’t feel right. Lo and behold, my brand new saw had a loose A/V mount. There was too much “play” in between the saw body and spring mount. Easy fix with a T20 Torx bit. Also, looks like your clutch cover isn’t seated properly. Make sure the post on the clutch cover is seated securely in the divot on the saw. Cheers!

My little husky 450 just shook out the chain brake bolt and have lost a bolt on the 372 as well. You get killed with shipping and none of my local dealers stock them. Both have been replaced with a dab of loctite

Hookedup24 mine has done that since day one. My dealer stocks them.

the tech at the shop called and said there are some worn threads- plastic housing of course. They plan to heli coil them and do a couple other things. I am sure they will dab some blue stuff on.

loose bolts on the exhaust as some suggested, and an oiler issue.

I had my mind made up to try an Echo this time around but the Husqy is still in the fight.
