I haven't really payed attention to chaps in the past, but I don't understand why they would have a pocket flap on them, especially the left leg. It seems to me it is like the pocket is reaching out to the chain saying here I am. Do other chaps have them? I was thinking about getting a pair. If I do, the flap will be removed before using.

No pocket on my husqvarna pair. But they are also navy/dark blue??? A strange color. I would rater have orange or hi viz green easier to be seen and not loose them in the woods when you take them off as well!

This is the first pair of chaps I've owned so you guys have talked a bit of sense into me. I look forward to using them so I don't get hurt if I slip up with a saw. On the plus side this will keep sawdust out if my boots since so many of my work pants have holes in them that seem to be right where the sawdust all goes.

Received mine today. After reading posts I was afraid they might be too long but was pleased to find them to be a good fit. I am 5'10" by the way. Actually bought them for son and son-in-law who are slightly taller. I wear an old pair of Stihl chaps.
