346XP rebuild

    Here is the finished product minus the brake flag. I forgot about it being broken and had to order one. Should be taking this thing out for a spin tomorrow after the flag shows up.

    That is a 20" .325 B&C in white pine that has been dead awhile.....my tree service is slacking on bringing me a new log to cut on. The saw feels plenty strong in the cut and the tach was reading between 10500 to 11500 in the last part of that video. Not bad for a 50cc saw even if it is rotten pine.

    my 346 came back in today for a checkup....new bar and chain on it....18" .325 .050 with Carlton K1C on it. bar buried in a maple log with light pressure it is holding 12200, bar buried with spikes set and moderate pressure is 11000.

    Had Chris-PA over on AS run this video and do his thing with sound frequency to determine RPM and he verified basically what i was seeing. "Looking at the second part (from 25 to 30s, where you were using the tach), I got 11,160rpm. The first part was very similar." so cool beans, my tach reading skills while running a saw are pretty good.
