I jumped on the multi year plan very early, as in before I had a wood stove in my house! So it’s all I’ve known. A friend shared with me that the local orchards sold permits for $1 to cut all you want. I ended up w/ 16 cord of apple in no time. After that, it was game on. Having grown up in a house that burned firewood, I never was taught a lot because I don’t think my father knew much about it. He never hoarded, and rarely more than a seasons worth. He’d seek out dead wood and burn it almost right away. Now all these years later, I’m educating and advising him on when to burn the wood I get for them. Funny how that worked. I learned almost everything I know here.
That is an "awesome" compliment to all the "Great folks" and knowledge working together here on the forums! On behalf of the FHC staff, Thank you for that! It is what we strive to do.
You are all appreciated, greatly. I’ve been a part of many a forum in my day(even co-admin one), but FHC is different. What y’all do to keep it this way is what I/we thank you for. I come here for firewood and some saw talk, and that’s what I get, in a quality setting/format.
Well, when we have the polar flip and the vortex zenith is upside down, maybe we won't need a three year plan, The frozen wooly mammoth will come back out of hibernation and the yakasourous will not eat plants no more then maybe... Never mind, I gotta go get a pill and a Beer.... Wait; didn't someone say we'll all be dead in 12 years... Oh my, the sky is falling... 3 year plan, whats that? Never mind the guy behind the curtain ...............
