Our's is burning nicely. At least we have plenty of wood to work with. May get a break next week, but not putting the wood away anytime soon.
Same in Central Pa. Down near 40 tonight and 32 tomorrow night. At least I've been able to cut down to 1 stove. My wood shed is looking pretty hollow as well. I went out the other day and split some 2 year old maple that's been laying behind the shed. Just need to get the rain wetness out off of it.
Well, its not like I don't have seasoned wood to burn. I just try to gauge it so the wood shed is empty at the end of the winter, 'cause I use it for other things in the summer, like storing my hydraulic wood splitter. I have 3 year old wood top covered that I can get into. I am just spoiled by going to the wood shed all winter. It is even heated if I want it to be. Anyway, bottom line is, it is April....time to sprout flowers not freeze you ars off!
That sounds similar to what I tell people at work on Friday. They say TGIF and I tell them I get all excited on Friday because it's only 3 days until we can get back to Monday.
Sounds like everyone will be re-calculating how much wood to have prepared for next year. Having too much is not a bad thing Some really good dry stuff left over for next burn season ! Spring slow to come here too. 20°s at night, 40 days Still burning 24/7 snowing now
