It is a truck I picked up last Nov to replace the rustbucket I was driving. There is a thread on here somewhere; but it is an 05 with 50K and the 3/4 payload package on it that the US Forestry put up on auction. They are switching to white vehicles now, so the next one may be a little less conspicuous! My brother wants me to paint the bottom 1/3 and top 1/3 chocolate brown and call it an Andes creme de menthe.
It is conveniently located on the way home from work! (15 min drive) I may get one more load for the cottage as I do not burn all that much down there. It would last quite awhile and it would also have the time to season before I run out of the stuff I have there now. You know, since I don't burn too much there, one load would be a two year plan!
Well, not quite free. IIRC, he "pays" a case 'O beer per load...so depending on "the honeyhole contacts" beer preference...ya done good. I got a load of those short blocks like that a few years ago...no more for me...PITA to stack, and then get to dry. Those big long blocks that beechnut gets are ideal since they can be split and stacked just like regular firewood
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. Stacked them altogether in a nice tight pattern so they will hold on to their moisture for some time....maybe even get some mildew between them !
Yup, summer beard pic. Now that our county fair is over it is officially time for winter beard growth... Nah, someone mentioned Red Green here today and I have been thinkin lately of going to the pic I use on another site (AS) anyways...so now I done did it
that would double the value of my truck...maybe triple if the tank is full... Nice haul, Yoops! Just called our local wood products to see when they are selling off kiln dried scraps...
I've seen some videos by one of our members here that are very much like Red's... wonder if they're related...
