At the end of each month of the heating season, I update my calendar with the wood use for the month, by rack. Each rack is 1/3 cord.

At the end of October, I had used up 1.5 racks. Same now, at the end of December. 1.5 racks. So, 1 cord total, so far.

Mostly shoulder wood. I have burned oak only for overnight. Even that, just a couple of splits at a time leaves me morning coals. Once the nights settle into the 20's and lower, oak use will increase.

I finally got through just over a cord so far. I usually stack 3.25 cord or so for each season and will have a little leftover most years. I'm not complaining.

The darker stuff in the pic is some of the oak that was left from last year (there's more in the back row).
