BrianK- He has some thunderbolts to feed it. I am going to send him something different to try because variety has never sucked. Probably some blazers. Just fyi in case you want to send some other type to try.
So y'all know there is some restrictions to ammo in USPS. It needs to be marked and packed by a certified trained person. But a person can train themselves inhouse with the PO own material then can ship through the mail. I looked it up onetime when the ammo was real tight. The guys out in Washington or idaho could still buy the stuff all day long when I had not seen it in months. I tried to get a guy to send so.e to me but he did not want to deal with the legal BS. Thats where I looked this stuff up. Not sure about UPS but know it has to ship ground
That's how they enforce the waiting period-- you have to get a purchase permit for any hand gun. When you get the permit, you can go get the gun.
Ammo has to go UPS or Fed ex and must be marked ORM-D on the box (sharpie works for this-no need to buy stickers) Powder and primers are another story---they are haz mat.
The laws from state to state are crazy! I take for granted that I can just go pick up a gun on a whim and bring it home. Nice gun Grizzly! I like the grips. I'll second to wear eye protection, I've had residue flung back in my eye once from not wearing glasses with my Buck Mark, and if you're shooting Thunderbolts they are notoriously dirty. Also you'll need ear protection. .22's are LOUD out of handguns!
I've already got ear and eye protection, so I'm set there. The grips are made from cocobolo, which I guess they can't use anymore because the tree has become endangered.
They might look at you funny at the range though ... Just take the opportunity to pass out lots of FHC business cards.
Yeah $35 is high compared to $25 a few years ago and then again $10 25years ago for a brick. But my truck new in 89 was $15K and the ones I looked at new the other day were $40K and up. Thats where we need to moan not 10-25 bucks ammo increase
I luckily dont have to buy a truck. Still driving what I have. Plus I buy old stuff for cheap then run it till dead. I still would love to find a brick for $35 just can't find a brick of bulk ammo. Sure I have seen out for $50/60 but not at the prices you say
Blame the EPA and the safety laws for that. I've found bricks of .22's at Bass Pro and Field and Stream for $22/brick within the past 3 months. Anyone that's charging higher than that is trying to rape you.
I have paid up to $45 a brick to be able to get it. We wanted to shoot and some was available at that price. Got 2k rounds of 22lr and 500 rounds of 22 mag for $70.
What if you had to buy a purchase permit for a chainsaw? The other Grizz would be going bananas 525 bricks of federal were going for ~$14 + shipping from Sportsman's Guide in 2008-2009. Hasn't gone up much - $21(just don't expect to get it within the next 6 months) http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/federal-22lr-hp-36-grain-ammo-525-rounds?a=694844 Seven of the 46 available options for 22lr ammo are actually available People around here break down bricks and are selling them at exorbitant prices
Local gun shop here was breaking bricks a yr ago. According to that one post somewhere in our forums in Cora do only professional loggers , tree service, or USDA can buy saws over 16"s so maybe thats true???
