I know we've discussed this before, but are you guys still seeing a shortage of .22lr? I had to buy on-line, can't find it locally for less than $6/ 50 rnds., when you can find it.
I'm flooded with it here in the big city. That's Cuz there are a million places to get it. 7 cents per round all day every day for bulk stuff. Minimag for 9 cents. These are the new "normal" prices. Having cabelas 1 mile away makes it easy for me to get. 100 miles away in smaller towns it's still hard to find or if you do its over a dime per round as you just said.
Starting to see a little on the shelf behind the counter...but not a lot. Just bulk stuff...no CCI or the like....some high dollar match stuff.
I was just up a Cabela's yesterday, their .22 shelves were fully stocked! I picked up about 2000 rounds of CCI Standard Velocity and Winchester 333 packs, but they had a lot of everything. Thunderbolts, Minimags, Federal Automatch, all kinds of target ammo and some bulk stuff I'd never heard of.
There's still a shortage locally but I have bought about 10,000 rounds this year by checking often. Mostly at WM and Cabelas. Usually 8 or 9 cents out the door. I'm going to ease up on .22 and stock up on reloading supplies.
I picked up a bunch for .082/ rnd shipped, glad I got it. Guys in the shop can't believe I actually found some. I gave them the website to order it, they're on their own after that. It's that scarce up here, pretty sad.
