Dandy buck! Congrats!
Nice, glad you got one
Extra gun weekend starts in the morning. Down to 25 tonight and food is the name of the game.
Anyone else still at it? Muzzle loader runs through Tuesday evening here.
Not unless you count nailing a red squirrel.
I saw that. Its always open season on tree rats.
We want to go, but can't get off from work...
Winter bow here just started and runs till jan 31. I'll be in the woods as often as I can be this next month. Two really good bucks I'm and want to put a couple more does in the freezer
All done here. Lost out on NY muzzleloader with the 40" of snow we got-wasn't fighting through that! Still have a PA buck tag I could in late archery, but my crossbow is getting new strings and cables-taking forever for them to get the strings. Can't complain-managed to shoot 2 bucks-a 8 point with the crossbow I posted here and a 4point with rifle-and a doe in NY, and 3 doe in PA (had 2 DMAP tags to use on my cousin's 700 acre farm.)
Sitting in the stand with the muzzy now. Was out till noon yday with a friend and jumped a few but no good shots. This will be my last time with gun and it just started to rain which it was not supposed to do but I have my rain gear on anyway
Got to watch this pretty little piebald doe this afternoon. She hung around for about 20mins. She was about the size of a lamb. Thinking she may also have a bit of dwarfism. Her legs were short and stubby, not the usual skinny yearling legs
I thought I was looking at a calf there at first. Piebalds are really neat, we had two sibling piebalds a few years back but the same guy decided he needed to shoot both of them.
I already posted this on a separate thread, but here's my 2020 buck. 20 yds, archery, double-lung and heart, 60-70 recovery
Nice buck, good job.
That's neat. I haven't seen a piebald in a few years. Saw a nice doe standing in the road. My cousin got a 8 PT piebald buck years ago.
Got one more for the freezer over the weekend. Season ends on the 31st. I'm back in the woods this afternoon lookin for another slick head or one of the two bucks I've been playing cat and mouse with. The mrs will be happy when it's over and I don't eat, sleep and breathe hunting but she sure likes a freezer full of meat .
Nice for. Good job. Our season ended the 10th.
