That's some fun hunting there! Were you hunting water or fields, or both?

Didn’t have a tag/license that allowed me to take a buck at the time I spotted him. Had him dead to rights at 230 yards. After some serious soul searching and sizing him up I decided he wasn’t going anywhere. So I went back to town and got on the computer and bought one. Then went back out and put the sneak on.
Never been a poacher and don’t plan to start. It was awful tempting though.
I used to be a bow hunter Ed instructor, I always told the students “ETHICS IS DOING THE RIGHT THING EVEN WHEN NOBODY IS WATCHING”

That’s a good one. I miss hog hunting. Me and a couple buddies used to go to Texas annually for 6 or 7 years

That buck looks like he survived quite a few hunting seasons.

Got a button buck and a doe the last couple weeks. Freezer is darn near full of deer meat.

I changed broadheads this year from fixed blade to mechanical 3 inch cut. Both deer made it less than 20 yards. Blood trails were incredible. 1102201922_Film2.jpg

All were just before dark, so I did not get any good pictures.

Gun opens tomorrow. Of course I have the week off. Weather is shaping up to be cold with snow. Leaving for camp around 2 today. Just trying to decide what saws to take as I heat with wood there too and there is always work to be done.

20201128_071231.jpg Our gun season opened yesterday. Bucks only with some antler restrictions. Did some breaking light calling and had a spike and 4 point come to the grunt tube. Neither legal shooters. Also saw 8 doe. Not legal till next Saturday. :headbang:The 4 point came and made a scrape about 6 steps from my tree stand which was pretty cool to watch.

Continues to be a good season. Shot a 4 point buck the first day of NY season and a nice 100 pond dressed doe yesterday in Pennsylvania with a DMAP tag.
