This pine had been down for about two months from a windstorm so I limbed it up and brought the limbs over to the fireplace, I'll get the rest tomorrow.

I have a bunch of areas to check but we didn't get anything real bad, up in Canada (Ottawa area) they had a tornado hit, they had some bad damage up there.

It looks like it will be a good time for a fire tonight.

Nice work thewoodlands & T.Jeff Veal!

We're in for a cooler evening as well. Some reports saying upper 20s others low 30s. It'll freeze none the less.

It’s supposed to get down around 40 here by morning so we might have to have a little smudge. Next couple nights after that are supposed to be colder still. We probably won’t have a hard frost for awhile yet though. I have some cherry tomatoes and cukes to pick in the morning actually.

We had 38 this morning from the thermometer on the front porch, Lake Placid had 30.9.

I returned some type of heat reflective roll back to my neighbor (it blew over the other day) and we had a long talk, when I came back I bucked up the rest of the pine & split it.

I just saw that rain and thunderstorms late Tuesday through Wednesday afternoon could be strong or severe for our area, we'll see what they say tomorrow.

We started moving this winter's wood down to the wood shed by the house. This crazy wet year has not been kind to my firewood. Admittedly, I forgot to cover some of it. Lesson learned. Covers are good.

Same issue here. Gonna keep the wood out of the shed for as long as possible.

Learned my lesson, wood shed needs to be built asap.
