Yes, that was the only hardwood that came out of that area of the 40 plus trees we cut.

I had planned to head in to the woods but the town was paving our side of the road so they wanted us to wait two hours before running anything on it so I worked on the above pile of wood.

The Hammy feels fine with the heel feeling no worse, we'll see if that changes overnight.

Well Seasoned , it looks like we might be in for some winds (Friday for our area) I think they said gust up to 46 mph.

Yes, a 29 degree drop if AccuWeather is correct.

Nothing huge but I haven't seen any rot yet in the cherry or ash.

Today I'll use the 4540 with the forks to get the bigger logs off the ground. I just came back from getting ten gallons of fresh gas for the generator, we might have some high winds tomorrow.

Before I get cutting the last of the ash, we'll put some wood in so we can have a fire at night if we want.

I did the last of the Ash and split some of the Cherry I bucked up the other day. I wanted more done but I had to make a run into town and then after I got splitting the Cherry, the body wanted food so in the house I went.

Nothing for winds here but that will come later. We've had some good quick rain with thunder since after 7:30 this morning.

If we keep getting rain throughout the day, it should be okay to burn a bunch of those pine branches we have hanging around from the clearing.

I don't normally, we had started about 4 yesterday afternoon, took a break for supper and went back at it. When it was about dark, only had about 4 rounds left and I wanted to finish. It was nice with the fan blowing.

I figure if I can cut split and stack a cord in 4 to 6 hours, and a cord is worth $250, I'm making between $40 and $60/hour. It may not be income but is certainly an investment that keeps other income in my pocket.
