You're getting a big pile of wood. Wish you were closer, we cut 3 pines for a friend of mine this morning.
Lol... but this was the very valuable SOUTHERN YELLOW PINE...only had 2 nails in it...he showed them to me, so no damage done. I used the tractor and put them and the sweet gum we cut on his burn pile....
I have some hardwood (beech & ash) that need stacking so that will be a change from dealing with pine.
We always hated to go by this damaged old Maple but mother nature brought it down, I still have the biggest part to buck up and I'm not sure how much wood we'll get out of the base but it will be a safer ride when we go by it. There's a chit load of ant damage to it. The trail is opened back up but I didn't get a picture.
I also have a beech tree that a porcupine girdled years ago that I just noticed last year so once the leaves come off the surrounding trees, it will come down. In picture 9583 you can see it doesn't have leaves and in picture 9584 you can see where the pine girdled it.
I get 4 or 5 hours a weekend and it really adds up fast. Not looking forward to stacking... God I hate stacking..
I didn't work on any firewood chit but I did get up on the roof and clean the half moon window along with the gutters on the south side. The next job was to cover six more face cord, done, the third job was getting 480 pounds of sand for this winter, done. I decided to not do the next two jobs, sharpen some chains and load up the trailer with branches so I changed the oil in both splitters which should be good until spring. The sand is not for the sander on the tractor.
Ok... what's it for?[/QUOTE] For general use on the sidewalks, trails or areas we walk or take the dog out around the house. If I screened it then we could use it, maybe next year. It seems the winters we get lately have more of a freeze and thaw which creates a ton of ice. The north country had some people who suffered some broken bones from the ice last year.
I plan on being by the outside fireplace getting rid of a whole bunch of junk wood this fall/winter, it will be warmer than the beach.

Can't remember if you spread by hand or a spreader behind your tractor. I thought at 1 time you had it in the garage in 5 gallon buckets.

We have some bags left so I'll get the brand name tomorrow. I did try some of the sand off our lot that wasn't screened but you had to open the gates more and run at a higher RPM.
