My TSC has a few(Chit river-GS's-MWP), But worried if I order a ton they will pull out what-ever.................... So, I'll wait until they have them by the door and likely by 25 bags a a clip if need be. Its what-ever they can get at and that what you get if you buy by the ton. Nope!!

Those TSC bags can be tricky. The MWP bags say Hardwood on the face of the bag, but on the side they say Hardwood Blend. See here. The bags you just picked up look the same?

Not MWP fault. It be TSC as they print the bags for MWP to fill.

Not likely to see those in TSC bags though!!

No, not tbe 100% softies...however the content of those TSC bags labeled “hardwood” and “hardwood blend” (with MWP in them) are actually 40% softwood fiber.

Hey fellas, I'm not a pellet guy but I saw a skid of pellets out in front of the local stove shop, had painted on the front
    "Hamer
    209"
    It's in Duncansville, Pa
thought that sounded good compared to the last few years...
Is that just still early buy price? Just wondering.

My nephew has a pellet roaster he would sell me cheap. I think it came from TSC. Just thinking out loud, possible back up heat...

on my tour of the plant last summer with Scot B (rep), (Scot L was way too busy with the biomass plant in start-up mode) MWP Log Cabin is approximately 60% hardwood, 40% softwood. the two fibers enter the mill on different conveyor belts, set to different speeds and monitored. I got the impression it was not quite an exact science, but pretty close.

    Yep - that is it

That was what I was thinking.

But I really don't care if it's peat moss - it burns hot and low ash and is cheaper than HD (not local) - AND is local. If they are still carrying the MWP at the end of the year I'm pretty sure I know where I'll be buying pellets (whether I need them or not :D).

Our cabin in Maine last year had a pellet stove in it. We stayed there several other times, before the pellet stove was in, it was pretty nice! The stove just clinked and clanked along. Nice steady heat

We need an alert system for these 15% off flash sales TSC does. Last couple I have seen only last a few hours and there is little to no warning that they are going on. Would like to be able to take advantage of them to pick up some stuff, but tough to do when you only hear about them after they already ended.

This one was only those that are in their "Friends Program", and that was via email which was sent 2-3 days in advance.

I was always under the impression they were 65/35 hardwood/softwood. Maybe they've changed their recipe.
