2015 moose mount

Not sure I'd have shed tears, but anyone downwind of me might have.

 

Picked up my moose yesterday, and put him up today.

 

First mom and I tried to put it on the wall, she decided it was to much weight to lift. Being 13 weeks pregnant is doing her no favors.

 

Called in reinforcements, one of my buddies came over to help out.

 

Thanks it was quite more effort than it looks like.

Well worth the effort. But it had to be awkward and heavy.

 

OSHA would have been losing their minds. My ladder was sliding along the wall, moose was pulling me off, using one leg to stand and one for balance. Fingers of on hand clawing at the wall to keep from sliding the other trying to hoist up the moose to the lag bolt and catch the mounting plate on the back.

 

Shoulda rigged a rope pulley.


I know, bit late for that.

 

There is nothing easy about dealing with a moose. Mine was a struggle too, and only hung it so his back was about where It would be if he was still alive and standing in my living room
