Went bigger. Traded the Kubota in on this very nice machine. Whoever owned it before took nice care of it.

Thanks guys! I have recently added a mechanical thumb to the hoe for grasping. A nice tool for picking up stumps and piles of brush and moving them where I want too.

That should handle anything you challenge it with. Looks good.

Wow Gas, that is a big step up! A neighbor had one of those so I've seen the work that they can do. You won't be disappointed!

Those full size machines are awesome, aren't they?!
You can never go back now...it will be an exercise in futility...those small to mid size machines just feel like toys once you are used to full size...and whatever you do, don't operate a full size excavator either, that will ruin you for your new hoe too! :hair: :makeitrain"

I recently rented a mini Excavator because it had been so wet here I could not get to certain parts of my trails to work on them with this 16,000 lb Loader Backhoe. But I decided I needed to get the work done. The speed that you can get work done with them is awesome. With the tracks having such low ground pressure you can go almost anywhere. Here is a shot of the rented machine where I was clearing for a new pasture. Still a LOT of work to do here, but it is going to be a beautiful hillside pasture when I’m done.

I’m leaving a good number of trees for shade and appearance.

I would love to have your machine. I wondered about a thumb soon as I saw it. Was it set up to handle it or did you have to add hydraulic line, was it difficult or easy add-on?

I added a Mechanical Thumb. The hydraulics are there on the stick already. But the hydraulic thumbs were a lot more expensive. So I went with mechanical for now and hope to convert it to hydraulic in the future. We will see.

Looks like there may be a quick coupler on that hoe?
