Here's our 1962 Delta Unisaw for sale. $700. I had posted this awhile back, but am now adding better pictures. Comes with a 54" Biesemeyer fence. I can set the fence for a specific measurement, move the fence to other spots, bring it back to the first spot and get a repeatable cut accurate to 1/64th of an inch. You can rip something... oh say, 3&11/32nds and a week later come back, set the fence for 3&11/32nds and you'll get a second piece to exactly match the first--the Bies is that good. The inch tape on the Biesemeyer rail is new, and is indexed to the oak piece secured to the side of the fence, and is zeroed to the edge of the blade. New, quality, arbor bearings were installed in May. Belts are in excellent shape. The motor is a 3 H.P., 115/230 volt Rockwell Unisaw motor that has always been run on 230 volts. The motor was rebuilt several years ago. Included is the ever-elusive Delta dust door and the saw has been set up for dust removal--the previous owner installed a dust port in the lower backside of the cabinet. It comes with the side table shown. The on/off switch is a modern paddle switch--this is not a cheap, Chinese paddle switch. The guys at Tool Time in Burbank said it was a $100 switch by itself. Also comes with the original Delta Unisaw switch plate. This is a great saw. Cuts smooth, quick and powerful. Note the penny and nickel standing on end with the saw running. With the paddle switch, it's easy to shut the saw off with your knee if both hands are occupied holding a piece of stock. Heavy duty 10 foot cord. Delivery can be arranged in the L.A. area if you buy this saw and help me load it into my truck, or if you bring your truck or trailer I will help load it. The original insert is dented and could use replacing, but I used it like this and had no problems. There is overspray of some sort on the cabinet. I didn't try to remove it. You can test the saw, but we are keeping the sawblade and the red dust collector. This Unisaw is already gorgeous on the inside, but all it needs is paint to make it gorgeous on the outside as well.
It IS a solid saw. It'll last anybody here the rest of their lives and get passed on to sons or grandsons and still be making perfect cuts.
Inflation & Tariffs Personal, I have a 1970 Power Matic 66 same type/style saw Single and 3 phase motors + long rails & same style fence. I will be switching it over to square rails and T-square style fence made from Alum. extrusions ( diy type) just because of what is possible with the extrusions. Unisaws command premium prices along with the PM66's. Equalivent models in today's market, new, are pushing the $2k mark and like the compact tractor market hold their value very well. New style square rail fences are in the $500+ area. Good tools are not cheap.
Those dang tariffs again. Didn't know they applied to items coming out of Missouri. Very true. I'd have spent the time in the "doghouse" to buy it, but shipping to NY would have been absurdly expensive. Plus, I was waiting for it to go on sale @ $750.
ok. Here's the real story. We first listed it for sale at $800. That amount was in the first post in this Thread. Then we lowered it to $750 in the July 3rd post. Come July 16 I edited the first post to say we'd lowered the price to $700, but I forgot to also change the July 3rd post. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
