One of my best customers gave me a tip that left me speechless. A Cooper’s adze. For making white oak barrels. From England.
I googled and searched on EBay. Worth more than the wood he bought!

I found Sheffield in the casting after a wire wheel job.

Not anytime soon! However I do use it in our woods. As a Pulaski. To make little hidden quiet trails to my deer stands.

From October through December I receive a lot of nice tips from my regular customers. I have a Grammy award winning dude who tips me in his best whiskey and bourbon. I prefer neat stuff over cash any day.

Yes I will fill the custom order for a custom price. It’s going to take extra time and jack up a stack, or two to put together. I would love to become their supplier and hopefully draw business from the surrounding mcmansions.

No it’s raining again, so I’ll have to wait until the ground firms up. No risk of anyone else grabbing them. There’s also some fat water oak logs on the other side of the field waiting to be picked up.

Just one of your cutting spots Chud ? I’m grounded today as well. We’re approaching probably 4 inches of the wet heavy stuff here. Temps hovering around 32. Anything I try and do in these conditions just ends up a complete sloppy mess!

Not one of my usual spots. I wish I could spend more time there gathering wood. My best to date BL score came from the property. That’s not saying a lot, but it was memorable.
