Heck yeah Scotty! That's why it's so cool that the saw/mill package is staying in the family........Now you're obligated to provide full photo documentation of your milling exploits for all of us to see. Thanks again buddy!

Oh, one more thing. I'll leave this thread 'as is' until I get everything shipped out and receive verification that everyone involved is happy (if that's Ok).

edit: I mean to say until I get verification that the buyers are happy.

I've still got those huge white oaks up on the farm that fell during Sandy several years back, as soon as the snow flies I'll take the mill up there and make some boards and beams ...I'll be sure to post pics when that happens....

to get these out of the hollow on the farm will be a monumental task...they are huge. I'll make some boards before I cut the rest up for firewood and haul it all out with the snowmobile this winter.

I'm actually gonna make a set of skis for my splitter and take it up to those trees with my snowmobile, so stay tuned later this winter for that project!

Saw arrived in good order today:dancer:Thanks Justin!
Hey has this thing had some work done to it?? (aside from the max flo) it is exponentially louder and snapier than my 660....

--Oh and BTW, I now know why there is a decomp on the 660:startled:

Awesome to hear Brian! I'm glad my redneck packing job survived the journey. As far as any work done to the saw, nope. She's factory stock. It has the two-port muffler cover (which I think was a stock item on that saw) and I pulled the fire screens out (which I forgot to send but I do have them laying around somewhere, I think). I agree though - that 066 does seem to pull harder than my buddies new-ish 660 for some reason.....maybe it's cause it isn't losing compression through the decomp button.

Did the bar make it to you as well? I sent them at the same time but sometimes packages seem to get seperated by a day or two for some reason.

Haha! Ain't that the truth. It would be pretty spendy, but a 36" lightweight bar would be a nice thing to have with that saw. On the other hand, when you run it with a 28" or 30" bar, it feels like a butterfly by comparison.

Just remembered to change the 'For sale' heading to 'No longer available'. Hey Scotty, let me know when the mill gets to you. Should be any day now I would think.
