Thats an add! But it is running low.

I dont know what to do. I have cleared the cache on apps. I save pics to SD card. The app updates just keep going till they gobble up all my memory!!!

You guys bring up something I've wondered about. kind of (not trying muddy up this thread, at least it will keep it at the top)

If you look on sthil's website, under specs, the 441, 461 and 661 all are rated to pull up to a 32" bar.

I've wondered why they rate a 70cc saw to run a 32" bar AND a 90cc also?? I see a lot of people with a 36" bars on their 660/661.

I ran a 28" full comp on my ported 441c and dont think I'd do it again, or not anytime soon :) My 661 is a animal with a 28" on it. I have a 36" for it also, but have not ran it yet. Just wondering why stihl only has the 661/660 rated to run a 32", when they have a 20cc advantage over their little brothers??

    thanks,
    Matt

I have a 650 and a 32" bar. It will easily pull the 32" bar with full comp chain In Hardwood. I say stihl is wrong

But mdavelee has a point they need the extra oil to not overheat and burn up.

my 441 has had the oiler modded, it will empty a tank of oil for a tank of gas with the 28" on it, so it oils it fine.

When I ran it with the 28" I buried the bar in some dry 30-32" elm. But had also ran the 661 in the same wood, so maybe I was just spoiled :) :)

but still it leaves the question, stihl has the 441 to 661 as running up to a 32" bar, they must be wrong!! It might be just me or the dry wood I cut, but I dont think I'd wanna run my 441 regularly, with a 28", 20" seems like it's happy spot :) :)

I also would not let a 440/1 wear a 28/32" bar regular but for a tree here and there its no problem. Yea they love 20" bars and can get away with 25" ones too.

20" bar for me is 50cc or maybe a 60cc. I run 28-34" on my 70cc saws and the 90cc will get up to 50". I ran a 32" full comp on a stock 044 for a while before I stepped up to 90cc saws.

how many cutters (full comp) are on a 25" bar vs a 28" bar, Mike? I know DL, is 81 vs 91, but I never counted the cutters, I ran out of fingers & toes :)

I learn a lot of from reading posts (of all you guys) I need to read more and post less, :)

Are you going to that GTG in Iowa in April?

There is a cutter per DL on full comp chain. So that would be 10 . Experts correct me if I am wrong. Full skip would only then have 5 more and half skip would be something like 7 more.

    Interesting. A husky 24" bar = stihl 25"

    A 28"-32" on a 70 cc Stihl shouldn't be problem at all.

Oil is the main issue, but power shouldn't be.
