Mom likes trying to put anything and everything down the garbage disposal.
She thinks if you run lots of water it will go right down. ...Like a box of leftover Chinese rice. Yep she carried it right past the garbage can and whoosh...clogged the sink drain in 2.6 seconds...
And roots, stems and leaves from a bunch of fresh beets. same outcome...

Want a real mess? Try a banana peel! ...or baler twine... they work about the same

Cost her $125 each time. She was a slow learner. She had to call them at least 8 times.

I guess it's better to find the problem when you are looking rather than finding a bunch of water in the basement and not knowing where it came from.

$#¡++¥ just got very much so bad worse:headbang:! Going to re-do the bathroom and contemplating moving the toilet. Consulting my plumber and he said run camera down pipe after my problems before we get ahead of ourselves and lucky me:salute:! He discovered that the pipe outside of the basement and around a bend has broke and now I get to dig up my yard and possibly 350 feet out to the city sewer main, of which 200 feet are under a neighbors property:jaw:. Said if nothing shifts with frost we may limp through til spring when it is easier to dig:tears:. They just ran a water line and said frost is 18" already. Why me:headbang::emptywallet::headbang:!?!?!?

couple years back - city sends letter got to replace sanitary to there system cause it is collecting and introducing ground water to there sanitary system . State mandate that is a no no. ( course they were all built that way until some time in the 2000's, city approved even) So contact company to do work, supposed to do it in Aug. They didn't get around to it until couple weeks before Christmas, and everything went south from there. about every other weekend I wood come home and wasn't able to use faculties for 2 or 3 days. this went on until Mar. The joy of home ownership and flipping code changes.

I think that’s the best you’re gonna get from her on that subject.

5 years ago this February I had to redo the septic. Very similar to what you’re going through. It sucks.
