Put a box of damprid in the firebox area. I get inch of water in the box by fall.[ I do close off the exhaust and oak and still draw the moisture)...
ww Hamers changed over the years. Still bring good heat but lots of very coarse ash now. Not the 1st pellet to go from top shelf to drop in...
well of course...the worst ashy pellets on earth take less emptying cycles than a wood stove...

Oh yeah forgot another thing.original blaze bags had lots of fines which was my only single complaint. New stuff is pretty much fines free.

Wow! I have the p61a also and I never remember having to empty the ash pan in 2 weeks. In my freshman days of owning a pellet stove I would buy...
I tried a few bags of GS Appalachian hardwoods and they we're not bad at all. ashy but have had much worse from bbs's..
