If the wood is well seasoned, the big splits start as easy as the small ones. Sounds like your stove is doing what it's supposed to do.:fire:
The blower will definitely take the temps down. I run my blower 24/7.

I think the thermo shows just a little over 300. Which was fine cause up stairs the house was 71. But it held at over 300 for several more hours...
I believe all three splits were Ash.
