Heat wise the bags I bought were ok, but like everyone else seems to be experiencing, a bunch of ash, although it is light and fluffy.
I bought 3 bags of those and found them to be very ashy, falling off the front of the burn pot in 2 hours. Still have 1 bag left that I'll burn in...
I picked up 10 bags of Lacrete today for $5.79 a bag at my stove dealers place. Only place I know where his bag prices are 1/50th of his ton price.
48 for Jan., 144 for the year. I figure I'm roughly a half ton short for the year even with the 18 extra bags I've bought since the season...

Doug would argue that point with you.
I've been subscribing to that practice recently as well.
Hard saying how much snow as I too had 3 foot drifts. Sleeting/raining for most of the afternoon with a high temp of 9. Blazers burning like...
I wouldn't think you would have to with the high quality DF's you burn. I can go a month on east coast pellets.
I've never had any funneling problems in my P61.
I always run my stove in stove temp when I'm home and awake. Room temp at night and when I'm at work. I like the constant heat blowing from it.
Didn't Lignetics buy the NEPW mill that makes GS?
