Maybe I should start "finding" clean GMT400's to enjoy and resell. Seems like I still have it bad for them. I like the GMT800's ('99-2006) just...
Stuff is miles (literally) better than anything the OEM's are putting in a late-model trans. I've been running the low-visc formula in the Honda...
I think that one is grossly overpriced. A well optioned, V8, 4x4, Ext Cab in a fairly amicable color, for less than $9k, listed for over 2 months...
WESF these trucks that show up with 70-120k miles in nearly new condition with original interiors and paint are obviously not daily driven...
Rare bird there. Half-ton, ext cab - LOOOOONG bed.
It is - C1500 would be a 2WD 1/2 ton, K1500 is a 4x4 half-ton. Z71 was only offered on 4x4 trucks. Your photo(s) are all K1500's. I'm not much...
Hard to beat a clean GMT400. All of them were good, very few real issues. Headlight switches (Pre '95), CPI fueling (post '95 5.7L), and...

Geez, I must have been on something good. I meant to say all of Stihl's .325" bars were .063". Which will be a fine mess when Harry Homeowner...
22" was an old school Stihl size. Emphasis on OLD. Interesting that it's back.
Almost NONE ALL of Stihl's past .325" bars were .063" gauge. This should be a fine mess on the retail end. :picard: What's the deal with the...
Easy fix for "sludge" engines. Install a more "aggressive" operator. :dex:;)
So with the 290, you'd use the exact same parts for the conversion. Would it be better? IDK - as the 290 doesn't have near the RPM overhead that...
Why do think that? They now have that engine in just about everything with a frame under it. Tahoe, 'burban, pickups - heck I can't wait to see...
I disagree - not about diesels being brilliant. They are, but they were never simpler than gas engines. Pre-heating systems can and did fail....
I ran a '99 V10 for a few years (not mine). Glad I wasn't paying for the gas, and yes, it fired a few plugs out, but the guys maintaining it were...
There's an even better setup for narrow kerf IF you can still find the parts. More info here: 50cc CHAIN shoot out - 3 Bars, 3 Chains, 5...
