I do it every year with half a dozen cedars behind my house that are 10-18" diameter. The stacks are no more than 6ft long and usually waist high.
That's what I've done with my saws. My last name is very uncommon and I put it where someone would have to search to find it.

Count me as a vote for cleaning from the bottom if possible.
No need for 3 cords of campfire wood.
