I like plenty of bar oil. Especially in hard seasoned wood.

576 is smooth and has a nice power band. Like a big Cadillac. But everything equal I prefer the 372.

No worries. Just use muffs or plug's like you've been doing. I think you'll really enjoy the 046 when she gets back. Talk about power to weight...
