Is that a King George V class battleship in your avatar?
I like the way you think. I recalled from previous discussions on this topic that speed was more important than mass to achieve a maximum...
Muscle memory, technique, and pure muscle will make the job look easy to an outsider!
Absolutely. Makes sense but individual mileage may vary. Does anyone actually know at what speed a maul/axe head is traveling? I would assume...
Not sure if this jives with what any of you guys have seen but it appears that young men prefer heavier mauls (tough guy image), older men prefer...
Whew! Pretty!!
Technically, what is the "blade"? Is it the bar, or the chain? LOL
I have several axes from my grandpa and one that I knew for sure came from my great grandparent's home on my dad's paternal side. I keep that one...
Heard it was below zero in Vermont this AM!!!
I mean no disrespect but if the maul is hurting your wrists to the point you need to wrap them before using the maul, I would say that maul is too...
Home Depot also sells saws "by the inch" Homelite 14" saw with 42cc in small letters.
I agree in a "yes, but" manner. Achieving equal kinetic energy of a 4 lb splitting axe or 11 lb maul can be the same if the 4lb axe is swung...
Like the folks at Sears? "What model of saw is that?" "16 inch!"
11LBS, that one will put hair on a boy's chest pretty quickly!
Still available in Oz if you google "auto tune rancher".
If you check the older saw sites it appear they rolled out in '13 but are NLA.
Yes. Not sure if it's the same teething issues like the 550/562 or something different. I've heard much less about their issues as pro saw...
They do make auto tune. Had problems from what I've heard.
Yes it's a great saw, all of those smaller 400 series are.
Looking great (both the axe and the very lush lawn)!
