Its funny...I can go weeks without anything good (I check every day), and then its like BAM and I get 2-3 in a row! Lots of high end subdivisions...
Nothing like red oak to split...not many knots so far..I have found that the wetter the better for hand splitting!
Lately I've been working on that "motherload" of oak I posted recently, but couldn't resist looking on CL...and scored a couple loads of red oak...

I am looking at getting a 20" bar for my 359..small mount..I would be interested in the blue one if you still have it.
Power wise it pulls the chit out of the 18"...I just hate to go back and forth on the big logs...or try to flip them to finish the cut.
Would you go to 24"?
