Since I'm the one with the splitter I will probably get half. That was the deal last time and we both had a good time.
Yep a victim of the wind today. I posted the picture pretty fast and I assumed he cut it down. I just realized it was ripped out.
My friend cut this down and I need help on identification.[ATTACH] [ATTACH]
Yep it's a good thing my dog was up to date on her rabies vaccination and the vet said no worries. For humans that can be scary stuff.
Thanks!!
Good article.
Their all over the place here in Missouri. My Jack Russell killed one a few years ago and got scratched up pretty good. They are not that friendly...
Good looking dog. Mine likes to chew on fresh wild black cherry splits.
Don't mistake the last pic for dogwood.
I found a few small rounds in the stack and I can't remember what it was. Is this sassafras or something different?[ATTACH]
39°F here in St. Louis. Burning some red maple with left over black locust bark that came off while splitting. Funny how the BL bark burns hotter...
Welcome Steve Dixon!!
The chunks are about 3 inches in diameter. I read you have to use it sparingly because it can get pungent, so I'm unsure what meats to try it on....
Thanks jrcurto.
I got my hands on some grape, but I don't know much about smoking with it. Any info would be great.
Good looking stacks.
I wonder if that could be used in the smoker?
Thanks Boomstick I was going to ask if that was walnut.
Yes sir, I'd be going back to get some.
Yep!! I would say looks black locust. That's a great score.
