It shouldn’t stink at all if it’s just made from meat.
The stuff you buy in the store can be that’s why we make our own.
The red pile to the left is the cherry, then the next two piles as you move right are the current oak piles. One for the smaller diameter wood...
You have to get a hoagie… and some scrapple.

My pool is down to 81….brrr!
Only 5 logs left in the pile to the right. Will be able to finish that up in no time tomorrow. Was downright chilly cutting wood today. Not sure...
Only worked until 11 this morning due to a big family cookout and swim party and it was in the low 80’s but humid at the time.
Started cutting poles this morning. Hope to have the pile on the right done by Tuesday.
You know it!
Finished splitting it up today. Total pictured is about 15 cords as I had some other cherry logs mixed in my tree service drop offs that I ended...
Those are some beautifully stacked splits but just curious if any air is able to get to the inside rows?
Enjoying all of the responses but does anyone have any other smell comparisons? This wood smells like…the fresh peanuts and fish got me really...
Haha. It’s summer and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Current situation here in south Jersey. Supposed to be similar for the next 7 days or so.
I know the smell of certain different types of wood has been mentioned many times in here throughout many threads but I don’t recall seeing one...
Very good to know. Thank you.
I went today and got the last of it. Right around one cord all cut to 16”.
I like cougars on mahogany ridge.
Gotta get shtuff done!
