12 months or so. Long enough for some bark to be peeling off but not rotting, well any more than cherry usually does anyway.
Time for more storage.
Cut to 16” load by hand into the dump truck. It’s about 3.5 miles away.
It’s limited but I do get more for it as firewood vs oak.
A local farmer reached out to me last summer to cut down some big oak trees along one of his fields. Timing hasn’t worked out for either of us...

Started stacking some of the splits today. Will be curious to see how many cords this was when it’s all in bins. I’m thinking in the 5-6 range.
