Exactly...that would run on a 2500-3000 watt inverter, no problem. Nice! That's my setup...a 5000/5250 watt "Coleman" and a 2500 watt Champion...
Maybe...worth a try...just have to try to find a good spot to pull/pry that doesn't break the plug...but if it does, you can buy replacement plugs...

Shims seal the oil in? That's odd, very odd...
It must be a lil corroded, or maybe even melted in there...they can be a bugger to get out sometimes...not annihilating the plug in the process...
