Absolutely no doubt in my mind your having a chain issue. I know my chain pretty well, and sometimes you just have to learn from the experience...

Either a late 066, or early 660. Starts, runs, cuts, and oils as it should. Unknown history, but expect wear and tear, saw is probably 15 years...

You will most likely need a different brake handle for the 064 too, to accommodate the wrap. I don't remember the part number, but might be able...
